"We are not defined by where we start; instead, it's our choices, our actions, and how we write our own stories that truly shape our identity."

Speaker Bio

Mary Gomez Camba

Mary is all about sparking change and voicing bold ideas. A passionate advocate for women's empowerment, she's dedicated to amplifying Latina voices through education, mentorship, and the kind of storytelling that sticks with you. Mary's efforts extend to leading workshops and speaking at conferences, such as TEDx Talks, United Nations Global Goals Jam, and now Celebrate Latina, a bilingual women’s conference that she founded.

Her multicultural experiences from living in Mexico, Singapore, and the United States infuse her with a unique global perspective that enriches her storytelling, captivating audiences of all ages and backgrounds. This blending of unique experiences has propelled her to initiate several successful businesses and fueled her passion for guiding other women on their entrepreneurial paths.

Mary's skill as a master photographer has seen her art featured in renowned galleries and major publications, crafting visual narratives that celebrate and resonate deeply with Latina culture. Her art tells compelling visual stories that resonate with and celebrate Latina culture, complementing her advocacy efforts and extending her impact into both professional fields and public discourse.

A recipient of multiple awards for her community engagement, Mary also enriches young minds as a TEDx Youth mentor and teaches the art of visual storytelling, helping others to harness this powerful tool. Fluent in both English and Spanish, she effortlessly bridges cultural divides, offering deep insights into the challenges and victories faced by Latina women today.

Born in Ejutla, Jalisco as the segunda of nine siblings, Mary learned early on how to capture attention—first through her camera lens, which she picked up at just 13 years old. Her love for photography has whisked her away to 29 different countries, her curiosity driving her to explore the world’s corners—from the taco stands of Puerto Vallarta to the bustling markets of Thailand. Mary is a lover of good comedy, a movie buff, and a tech enthusiast, always ready to dive into the next story that captivates her. At home, she’s the proud esposa and mother of two, ruling over a lively household with her husband, teenage kids, and dos perros who all vie for the title of "el Rey o la Reina de la casa." Her life is a colorful mix of laughter, adventures, and the joy of finding the perfect taco spot, no matter where in the world she might be.

Mary invites us all to empower and inspire one another, paving the way for a more inclusive and equitable future.
